Data from the travel website Kayak’s suggests that if Canadian are flying domestically then they should pick to travel on a Tuesday and if they’re traveling internationally then Thursday is the best day to get good deals on flights.
This US based company, that started catering Canadian travelers since last May, researched on flight trends since its launch. And noticed a fairly consistent trend in flight pricing. To travel domestically the combination that comes out to be cheapest is if you leave on a Tuesday and return on Friday. Weekend round-trips are turning out to be the most expensive ones. For international flights best deals can be won if you leave on a Thursday and come back on a Monday.
Looking on the bigger picture, January can be the cheapest month to travel during winter and during summer consider finding good deals in the months of June and July.
Booking in advance also increases your chances to get a good deal. Booking last minutes only few days before the flight might get you a very good deal if the Airline has room and is looking to fill the flight but you might risk missing on vacations if its a busy season.
