Carnival Cruises, a Miami based cruise ship company, announced high speed wi-fi Internet on all of its 101 ships across nine cruise line brands. The company is responding to the high demand from its past customers for a high speed connectivity on board and attract tech savvy millennial generation toward cruise ship vacations.
All of the ships are expected to have new Internet technology installed by the year 2016. The pricing of wi-fi services will be announced once the service starts and will be based on different brands.
According to Carnival Cruise, sea Wi-Fi will use a combination of land based antennas installed along the cruise routes and advanced satellites.
