Shorter screening times for low risk travellers at Canadian Airports

If you are a NEXUS cardholder and are flying to the United States, you will be able to take advantage of the dedicated screening lines that would open at several Canadian airports, according an announcement made by federal government. The other travelers that come under low-risk traveler category like members of the Canadian and American armed forces, uniformed airline crew members, members of the U.S. Global Entry program will also be able to take advantage of this initiative.

The expedited screening lines for these travelers are currently available at Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal airports. The NEXUS cardholders and low-risk travelers will pass through these lines without needing to remove their shoes, belts, hats or jackets and can also enjoy the comfort of ungraded NEXUS kiosks for a faster and more efficient service.

More than 1.1 million travellers are currently taking part in the NEXUS program, allowing for pre-approved travellers to cross the Canada/U.S. border quickly.
