Air Canada celebrated the launch of their new routes from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro and Panama City. The route between Toronto and Rio de Janeiro will be beginning Dec.11, 2014, followed by Toronto to Panama City route on Dec. 17, 2014.
The service to Rio will fly three times a week all year around. This route will fly a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 24 International Business Class and 187 Economy seats.
The route from Toronto to Panama city will also fly three times a week on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays. This service will offer a Business Class cabin, complimentary seatback entertainment throughout the aircraft, Aeroplan accumulation and redemption on an Airbus A319 with 120 seats.
To mark the milestones, the airline hosted its top travel trade partners for a special celebration last evening, surprising two lucky winners with tickets to the new destinations.

They also announced two lucky winner for the tickets to these two new destinations. In addition to this Duncan Bureau, vice-president, global sales, Air Canada said, “We are convinced that the market will do incredibly well and that we’ll be able to increase frequency, and hopefully do a daily service.” He further added, “We’re only going to be able to do that with all of your help.”
