Have you ever lost a luggage at an airport? How long did it take you to get it back if you ever recovered it? In most cases airlines do their best to get the luggage to its owner in timely manner but for this Arizona artist it took two decades to reunite with her lost luggage.
Maria Dellos, a Tuscon based artist who owner of an art shop, says she received a call out of the blue from a Transportation Security Administration agent informing her of the find. The lost luggage was containing art supplies of total worth about $600, that she bought at a Las Vegas trade show in year 1994. She also bought some paint 20 years ago and when she opened them, they were still creamy and usable.
She also found a handwritten note inside the bag. “When I looked at this note, it was dated as 20 years ago and I was just absolutely blown away,” Dellos said.
“I’m absolutely thankful to the TSA for calling me today and giving me great faith back into the airline industry.”
TSA Spokesperson Nico Melendez said,”Items that pre-date our agency are interesting but I understand that we just did some shuffling of equipment at the airport, so it’s quite possible that we came across something that somebody left unattended for a long period of time”.
